About the Turnstone Buoy

Buoy was introduced by Turnstone, a former Steelcase brand focused on casual and collaborative workplace furniture. Debuting around 2013, Buoy was designed as an alternative to conventional office seating, using a curved base that allows the stool to rock, wobble, and swivel while the user sits. The constant small movements encourage active sitting and make Buoy especially well suited to collaborative areas, classrooms, creative spaces, and informal meeting environments. It received a Best of NeoCon Innovation Award in 2013.
